There's a somewhat popular phrase that has made the rounds in church circles in recent years: Fear is a liar. That is certainly true in many circumstances, but there are times when fear is a good and rational thing, such as the instinctive fear of heights in a young child, or the fear of the flame of a stove. And certainly the flames of hell should instill a stiff fear in all those who, without Christ, are perishing. The Bible tells us that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. The Bible also tells us, however, that God has not given His children a spirit of fear. Join us Sunday, as Pastor Steve shows what the Bible teaches about fear and how it can show you the way off the fear treadmill.
