In 1624, John Donne wrote the famous lines, "Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee," alluding to the inescapable fact that our date with death is inevitable. What happens when that date comes, whether slowly and certainly or with calamity and suddenness? How does God view our death and what role does He have in it? What about our loved ones, how do we handle the grief that often swallows us whole when we lose someone close?
