"I am God, and there is no other," declares the Lord. "I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done." (Isaiah 46:9-10 ESV) It is interesting to note that in the Islamic Qu'ran, there is no emphasis on predictive prophecy; this is true of the Hindu scriptures as well. The Bible however, by some accounts, contains predictive prophecies in over a quarter of all its verses; furthermore, over half of the more than 1800 prophecies have been perfectly fulfilled! The rest pertain to the second coming of Christ and the new earth and heaven. This should give the Christian great encouragement and boldness and a fuller understanding of the power, holiness, and wisdom of God. Listen in as Pastor Steve gives us 10 reasons why studying biblical prophecy is a faith-building, fruit-yielding, and future-clarifying endeavor.
