From the first page to the last, Scripture is saturated with the recurring theme of getting our priorities straight, and as Jesus teaches in Matthew 22, there is no greater priority than to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Adam and Eve failed to do so, and it lead to a world filled with sin, suffering, and death. While we continue to live under that curse, we also live as followers of Jesus with the promises that He made, including this one from the Sermon on the Mount, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
