This Sunday is Pentecost. We will be singing a song that describes the events that occurred on Pentecost in Acts 2.  "On the day of Pentecost, the faithful were gathered to pray when the Spirit of God appeared above them in tongues of flame." The song has an fun Hebrew sound to it.

To remember the flames that appeared over the believers' heads, remember to wear red (or orange, yellow, or flames!) The sanctuary will be decorated in celebration of Pentecost also.

The following week we will be singing our final song of the season before our summer break. Joel Raney's jazzy arrangement of Peace Like a River is a really fun anthem! I can barely keep from dancing! I am amazed that our accompanist Anita can keep up with all the key changes!

I am so thankful that we can lift our voices in praise to God with music that is so enjoyable to sing!

Blessings to you all! Holly
