Jeremiah is sometimes called the weeping prophet. He was distraught over the sins of his people and God's impending judgment. He also could be considered a "patriot prophet" because of his love for his people and his faithfulness to God. Many of us love our country, too, and we strive to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ, but it is frightening to observe the parallels between ancient Judah and our modern day, where there is little thirst for the Word of God and mocking seems to grow with each sunrise. If Jeremiah were here with us, he surely would still be weeping. Listen in as Pastor Steve talks about "patriots" and "traitors."
