Pathways began on Super Bowl Sunday, 1993 with a group of
forty friends who had a vision. They were eager to start a
family style church where people would feel relaxed and comfortable,
even if they had never been to church before. Everything would
be simple and relevant…relevant Bible messages, upbeat
music, informal dress, and streamlined organization. At the
same time it would be a place where people could experience
a living, personal, life changing God.
During the first 11 years of existence, Pathways was a vagabond
church wandering from place to place and longing for a place
to call home. At that point church members began to pray and
believe that God would lead us to a permanent facility.
In 2002, after a unanimous vote of approval from the City
Council, the task of transforming the old Picano’s Grocery
Store into a place for worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship,
and ministry began. The first services were held in our current
facility in December 2003.
